Our volunteers are an essential part of the work we do in making a mentally healthier world. Learn about upcoming volunteering opportunities.
Our volunteers are a vital part of the Black Dog family and we are incredibly grateful to volunteers, past, present and future, for all the work they do.
Our volunteer presenters share their amazing and powerful personal stories with schools and community groups to provide insight into mental health issues and reduce the stigma around mental health.
Our event and office support volunteers generously provide their time, skills and energy to help us make the world a mentally healthier place.
For more information about the different types of volunteer roles go to our volunteer with us page.
Upcoming volunteer positions
Black Dog Institute is now recruiting Youth Presenters in Sydney to share their experiences with mental illness to raise awareness of mental health amongst young people.
By delivering evidence based education programs and sharing their personal stories of overcoming adversity, our Youth Presenters help to:
- reduce stigma of mental illness;
- encourage help seeking behaviours;
- promote early intervention and resilience; and,
- offer hope to other young people.
If you have experience with depression, anxiety or abipolar disorder as a young person and a willingness to share your story as part of a set presentation, we want to hear from you. It could be personal experience or experience as a carer. To find out more, please download the Youth Presenter flyer.
