Sadhbh joined Associate Professor Samuel Harvey’s Workplace Mental Health Research Team in 2012. Sadhbh is a Senior Psychologist (BA-Psych (hons), MClinNeuroPsy, MAPS) who works both clinically and academically.
Sadhbh (pronounced Sive) has specialist expertise in the areas of resilience, neuropsychology, workplace mental health, mindfulness-based therapies, and the development of translational research.
In 2014, Sadhbh was awarded an APA Scholarship to complete her PhD in Mindfulness-based training and resilience under the supervision of Associate Professor Harvey. Part of this project involved the development of a novel online mindfulness-based resilience program for NSW Firefighters.
In 2015, Sadhbh was awarded the UNSW Brain Sciences PhD Grant-in-Aid to further support her PhD research. Sadhbh co-founded the start-up company RAW Mind Coach in 2016, based on her resilience research, with the support of UNSW Innovations and the Black Dog Institute. The program has since been adopted by numerous organisations including NSW Ambulance, Reuters, Optus, AGSM-UNSW, and NSW Health.
Sadhbh has a strong interest in bridging the gap between clinical research and the practical application of resilience strategies in the workplace. Sadhbh is also a qualified Hatha, Yin and Yoga-Nidra Meditation teacher and has a longstanding interest in the physical and psychological benefits of merging Eastern Philosophy and Western Psychology.
